Julia Connell grew up and lived in small villages in Surrey, England including one where the movie 'The Holiday' was filmed!
For many years she ran a successful home baking business specializing in celebration cakes in particular children's character birthday cakes. She has also won local competitions for her Victoria Sponge cake and Scones and sold hundreds of her delicious cupcakes to raise money for her children's school.
Julia moved to Summit NJ in 2017 with her husband and two young children bringing her love of British baking with her.
On the 8th of September 2023; Julia fulfilled her dream of opening a British Bakery and Tea room at The Strand, 447 Springfield Avenue, Summit NJ.
All day British Breakfast menu is available weekends from 9:00am to 5pm.
Open for lunch and high tea, special tea parties offered by reservation.
