HERE COMES SANTA!

Holiday activities presented by Summit Downtown, Inc. for the upcoming holiday season:

Santa's arrival in Summit - Sunday, December 2 at 3:00 P.M.

This is a traditional event in Downtown Summit. This year Santa will arrive at the Bouras Building on DeForest Avenue. Santa will greet all of the kids who attend this event.

Ice Sculpting - December 2 @ 4P.M.

This event is new this year and we are excited to have an ice sculpting artist in the Customer Parking lot at DeForest Avenue & Beechwood Road

Holiday puppet-show Sunday, December 2

There will be two puppet shows at The Square Yard, 343 Sprtngfield Avenue, at 12:30P.M. and 2:00 P.M. The shows are free but ticket reservation are required - call 908-277-4580 Summit Downtown Inc. extends a big thank you to The Square Yard for hosting this popular event.

Dining with Santa

Dining with Santa - Sundays December 9 & 16 at Winberies (908-277-4224) and at Saturdays December 15 & 22 The Office (908-522-0550). These restaurants will host opportunities to dine with Santa. Please call the restaurants for specific information.

Horse and carriage rides - Sundays, Dec 2, 9 & 16

The traditional horse and carriage rides will take place from Noon
to 2:30P.M. The starting point will be in front of the mini park at Beechwood Road & Bank Street. Enjoy an old fashioned horse and carriage ride with your family.

Caroling - Thursdays Evenings- Dec. 6,13 & 20 & Sunday afternoons - Dec. 2,9 & 16

On Sunday afternoons from 12 Noon to 3:00 P.M. and Thursday evenings 530 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. holiday music will be provided in Downtown Summit at the Beechwood Road mini park. Come and listen to holiday music as you shop in Downtown - Summit.

Angel trees in cooperation with The Salvation Army and Sage

This event takes place throughout the holiday season. The stores in Downtown Summit will have Christmas decorations. Anyone interested in making sure that everyone receives a holiday gift can take one of the Angels from the tree, get a gift, and return it to the store go that it can be distributed to underprivileged children on Christmas Eve. Sage has graciously agreed to participate by permitting those who wish to drop their gift off at Sage, located at 290 Broad Street, to do so. Downtown Summit thanks The Salvation Army and Sage for their participation.
